Work of Phase II of the St. Simons Island shoreline revetment rehabilitation project will begin Jan. 5. Work will be conducted along the oceanfront shoreline from Gould Street to Arnold Road.
The island, which sits in the Central Pacific Ocean, is where the US first conducted ultra-high altitude nuclear test blasts.
