ShopRite is officially rounding prices up and down by 5 cents in cash transactions in response to a penny shortage, caused by the U.S. Mint’s decision to stop producing pennies.
Price Chopper’s parent company will open its new Market 32 stores inside four former ShopRite stores June 14. A spokesman for the Schenectady-based retailer confirmed the opening date Wednesday.
