NFL Week 16 lived up to the hype as pressure was put onto the teams looking to make the playoffs. Several games came down to the wire and a couple went into overtime.
The Detroit Lions’ comeback efforts came up short as the Pittsburgh Steelers secured a 29-24 win, capped off by an offensive pass interference call on wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
Atlanta got the win to help, going to 6-9 with the 26-19 victory. Bijan Robinson shined with his dual-threat ability, rushing for 76 yards on 16 carries while leading his team with 92 receiving yards and a score on seven catches.
As winter football takes hold, the league’s ground game is reasserting its authority. There’s a clear trend emerging late in the season: teams are leaning back into power, patience, and punishing carries as playoff stakes rise.
