Data centers are showing up all over the state. Gaffney, which has had some experience with them, has put new rules in place to build one.
The Mercer County Fiscal Court heard citizen comments about the possibility of a large-scale data center in the community.
Planning commissioners said they need more information on how much noise the proposed data center will create in nearby neighborhoods in Allen Park and Melvindale.
