Gusty winds, blowing snow, and icy road conditions continue to make for hazardous travel conditions across the Twin Cities and much of southern Minnesota, even as a powerhouse storm that dropped several inches of snow Dec. 28 begins winding down.
A clipper on Tuesday is expected to bring "minor snow accumulations" of perhaps an inch in an area along and north of the I-94 corridor, according to the NWS Twin Cities. This will be followed by another clipper that is tracking further south, and could bring 1-2 inches of snow to central and southern Minnesota, and western Wisconsin.

Expect a blustery morning and cold Monday across much of Minnesota. Blowing snow is possible after several inches of fresh snow fell on Sunday.
At Discount Tire, Woods knows that well. He said the Maplewood location is the busiest in Minnesota, averaging about 120 cars a day throughout the year. That daily average surges to 250 cars during winter, making it “the busiest store in the country,” Woods said.
